Who is Ney?

Yaaaayyyooooh!
This is my first post and I just wanted to talk a little about me (this is my blog, isn't it? I do what I want!) So... my name is Vianney and my friends--and acquaintances--call me simply Ney (yeah, like "hey, ney"...lol). You can also call me nana, nanis, nanita, vianny, neney, vivi, v, via, nanuka, vanilla...concha? ...and pretty much anything that doesn't make reference to vienna sausages--you can even make up a new one! I appreciate creativity, so go ahead.
I am a proud Mexican (hey, you can take the Mexican out of Mexico, but never Mexico out of the Mexican!) because even though I was born in south Texas, Mexican blood --and tequila (mostly during the weekends, uhem)-- runs through my veins with great fervor.
I'm currently a Linguistics major senior at the University of Texas at Austin, although I have been thinking about switching to speech pathology and communication disorders.
I cannot say I'm a normal person. I cannot really define what normal means. I am kind of clumsy (kind of? ha!) and my interests are very varied. I like to talk, paint, dance, draw, walk outside when it is cloudy, I like animals, I like knitting, I love make-up, I have a weird fascination for squirrels, I love the smell of rain, I have more shoes than closet space to store them, I like cowboy boots, I like feeling the sand on my bare feet, I love food, I am passionate about travel, and I am passionate about most of the things I do---which makes me a complicated person.
I have wonderful parents and an amazing little brother. I also have a very cute boyfriend--don't let him deceive you, he is not Mexican!--who is very, very awesome :) And I have a bunch of cool amigos.
¡Y hablo español! (mucho gusto)
